Overview

It is the primary responsibility of the Employee Communications Specialist to write/edit various pieces of communication including but not limited to welcome and promotional announcements, employee event communication plans, and articles for the Employee newsletter.  The Employee Communications Specialist will also design the newsletter and communication pieces for employee events and projects as well as updating the back-of-house video monitors announcements, employee kiosk and intranet site.  All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices and procedures.

 

Specific Job Functions:

 

  • Write/edit memos, welcome letter and promotional announcements, employee event communication plans and employee newsletter articles
  • Create and design communication pieces to thoroughly communicate employee events and programs to employees
  • Maintain/revise/develop content related to Human Resources on the intranet site
  • Create posters, banners and flyers related to employee events and employee benefits
  • Design the Daily Platinum – pre-shift announcements
  • Review current back-of-house communications and propose and complete design changes. Update on a regular basis
  • Update information on the employee kiosk
  • Update/revise the back-of-house video monitor announcements
  • Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department
  • Conduct New-Hire Orientation

Responsibilities/Qualifications

  • Six months in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • One year experience in graphics applications required
  • One year writing experience preferred
  • Professional appearance and demeanor a must
