Overview

It is the primary responsibility of the Engineer - Kitchen to maintain and repair kitchen equipment, refrigeration units, plumbing and beverage equipment of all makes and designs throughout the property. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.
 
Specific Job Functions:
 
·         Perform repairs on kitchen equipment in building
·         Move, lift, and replace kitchen equipment as needed to complete repairs
·         Find and determine source of power and gas issues using voltmeter or gauges
·         Safely operate scissor lifts, forklifts, and other industrial equipment to complete perform repairs
·         Maintain effective communication with management and co-workers when completing assigned tasks
·         Display proper etiquette and protocol when using two-way radio
·         Work under minimal supervision to complete tasks in a timely manner
·         Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department

Responsibilities/Qualifications

·         At least five years experience in refrigeration required
·         A minimum of three years experience performing commercial kitchen repairs required
·         Working knowledge of natural gas equipment controls, steam and electric kitchen equipment, and industrial controls preferred
·         Professional appearance and demeanor a must
