Overview

It is the primary responsibility of the Internal Control Manager to manage, train, implement and audit controls of property income and assets for both gaming and non-gaming operations. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures. 

 

Specific Job Functions:

  • Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues to assist management with preventing fraud and inefficiencies.Coordinate new control procedures with all levels of operational management.
  • Assist the Casino Controller with ensuring property compliance with the MICS (Minimum Internal Control Standards) and Regulations of the Gaming Control Board.
  • Assist the Hotel Controller with managing and following up with all cash variance exceptions with operational management.
  • Assist the Operations Controller with asset protection and theft prevention through inventory counts.
  • Assist the Casino Revenue Audit Manager with month end closing, journal entries, account reconciliation and preparation of all Casino taxes.
  • Perform unannounced cash locker, cash drawer and cashier bank audits. Resolve all discrepancies.
  • Utilize the eConnect system to prevent fraud and assist management with departmental investigations.
  • Review operational income and revenue computer systems (Point of Sale, Financial, and Gaming systems) controls to ensure integrity and sensitive data are not compromised.
  • Perform unannounced cash locker, cash drawer and cashier bank audits. Resolve all discrepancies.
  • Provide support to the CFO and Casino Controller for ad hoc operational analysis as needed.

Responsibilities/Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Detail-Oriented and a high degree of integrity necessary
  • 3 years of experience in fraud prevention and income control
  • 3 years of experience with implementing processes, procedures and training personnel.
  • An intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office required
  • Must have, or be able to obtain, a Gaming Registration
  • Professional appearance, communication and demeanor a must
