  • Overview

    It is the primary responsibility of the Head Baker to prepare, bake, finish and issue products related to the Bake Shop. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.
     
    Specific Job Functions:
     
    ·         Follow recipes precisely and understand mise en place
    ·         Mix and bake according to recipes
    ·         Decorate, finish and plate ups
    ·         Rotate both raw and finished products according to date
    ·         Utilize electric and balance scales and measuring devices
    ·         Assist with training new employees
    ·         Work steadily and accurately paying attention to detail
    ·         Utilize proper food handling techniques and follow health and safety regulations
    ·         Maintain a clean and organized work area
    ·         Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department

    Responsibilities/Qualifications

    ·         Minimum five years high-volume baking or bakery training experience including culinary    
              or pastry school
    ·         Communicate effectively in English both verbally and written forms
    ·         Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department
