  • Overview

    It is the primary responsibility of the Assistant Manager – Starbucks to assist in the management of the restaurant operation. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.
     
    Specific Job Functions:
     
    ·         Complete paperwork, daily reports and all other necessary financial analysis for the restaurant
    ·         Order products and supplies for the restaurant
    ·         Conduct daily pre-shift meetings and regular staff training meetings
    ·         Manage and lead staff including hiring, scheduling, employee counseling and commendations
    ·         Train all employees on steps of service, sequence of service and hold them accountable to the standards
    ·         Ensure daily operational tasks are performed & completed
    ·         Ensure all equipment is in working order
    ·         Ensure all areas of the establishment are constantly maintained for cleanliness
    ·         Practice all necessary sanitation methods to ensure all food safety standards are followed
    ·         Communicate via e-mail in a professional manner and follow all computer use guidelines
    ·         Ensure necessary tools are provided to staff
    ·         Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained and control budgeted labor costs
    ·         Ensure all departmental & company policies are followed
    ·         Assist Manager in achieving all service, financial and human resource goals set forth by the property executives
    ·         Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department

    Responsibilities/Qualifications

    ·         Two years prior high-volume, Assistant Manager or Supervisory restaurant experience required.
    ·         Communicate effectively in English both verbally and written forms
    ·         Must possess basic computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and Access

    ·         College degree preferred
