  • Overview

    It is the primary responsibility of the Baker Helper to train with and assist Bakers, Cooks and Pantry Attendants in the preparation and service of food items applicable to their outlet and individual workstation. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.


    Specific Job Functions:

    • Transport foodstuffs from warehouse or within their outlet to each station
    • Learn and perform proper stocking, storage and rotation techniques
    • Identify and inform Chef regarding problems on station
    • Learn and utilize proper food handling skills, following health and safety standards
    • Clean and organize work area
    • Pay attention to detail
    • Learn menu preparation needs applicable to each station assigned
    • Train with and utilize mechanical kitchen equipment
    • Work steadily and accurately
    • Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department


    • Minimum one year high-volume food service experience
    • Must be capable of following directions
    • Communicate effectively in English both verbally and written forms
    • Must have a basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and basic knife skills
    • Professional appearance and demeanor a must
