  • Overview

    It is the primary responsibility of the Bus/Runner - Treasure Island Buffet to maintain beverage station, restaurant floors, storerooms and side stations according to established cleanliness and stock standards. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures. 

    Specific Job Functions:

    • Set up and break down of all beverage machines on beverage station.
    • Maintain cleanliness and stock beverage station with all necessary supplies throughout the shift.
    • Maintain side stations in a clean and orderly manner.  
    • Maintain prescribed par stock levels on beverage stations and side stations.
    • Keep all equipment and refrigerators clean and sanitized.  
    • Sweep and mop floors inside  side stations as needed. 
    • Empty garbage. 
    • Separate all dishes in bus tubs.
    • Separate all glassware and mugs and stock in proper racks.
    • Transport glassware racks, bus carts and bus tubs of dirty dishes and trash to dish room.
    • Deep clean and sanitize bus carts. 
    • Put away incoming supplies on pallet immediately upon arrival. 
    • Assist with proper stock rotation.
    • Keep dining room floor clean and free of excess debris/liquids at all times.
    • Polish silverware.
    • Stock hutches with silverware, napkins and placemats throughout the shift.
    • Sanitizer buckets are replaced and tested every two hours. Maintain accurate log sheet. 
    • Work station must be maintained, stocked and cleaned for next shift
    • Communicate effectively with your team members and management to ensure efficient operations.
    • Communicate with fellow employees and Managers regarding Guest requests.
    • Notify management when there is a shortage of supplies.
    • Advise management of all hazards and engineering issues.
    • Maintain alert posture, appearing approachable to Guests.
    • Maintain utmost respect and courtesy for Guests and employees at all times.
    • Possess a positive attitude towards the Guest and fellow employees to meet and exceed TI Buffet standards.  
    • Bus/Runner must never leave their station unattended to engage in personal conversations.
    • Maintain flexibility to perform other job related tasks as deemed necessary by management.
    • Maintain sanitation, cleanliness, and insure the health and safety of our Guests and fellow employees at all times.
    • Maintain a clean and hygienic work station in accordance with Clark County Health Standards.
    • Maintain cleanliness of the Buffet area including floors, ledges, and counters.
    • Maintain professional and well groomed appearance, posture and hygiene.
    • Be able to perform a task that requires standing and/or moving at a fast pace for periods of up to eight hours or longer. 
    • Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department


    • Previous Bus-Runner Experience preferred 
    • Communicate effectively in English both verbally and written forms
    • Must be able to work any shift.
