It is the primary responsibility of the Apprentice Bartender - Bar Relief to prepare and serve cocktails to servers and/or guests. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures. Specific Job Functions: - Greet and converse with guests to suggest or receive cocktail order - Prepare and serve cocktails to customers following hotel guidelines - Clean and organize bar to beverage department standards - Prepare order to replenish stock at bar to pre-determined par levels - Provide exceptional service to customers - Follow departmental cash handling policies and procedures - Prepare cocktails for cocktail servers - Knowledge of wine and champagne service at table games - Work station must be maintained and left stocked and cleaned for next shift - Garnish drinks - Ensure correct health and sanitation practices are followed - Ensure the correct glassware / stemware is used according to Beverage Department standards - Acknowledge every guest with a prompt and friendly greeting - Answer questions related to property correctly and professionally - Handle cash, credit cards and room charges in accordance with departmental procedures - Assist new employees with training and answering questions - Check ID's if the guest appears to be under 30 - Replace dirty ashtrays by capping off ashtrays with a clean ashtray - React to the needs of management for special host requests - Inform management of any problems or concerns - Be ethical and professional at all times - Communicate with Management to keep them informed of special requests from a guest - Answer telephone using the property telephone etiquette standards - Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department

It is the primary responsibility of the Assistant Housekeeper to manage all operations for assigned department.
